Safety e-Report 3.1.4

The MOIS offers Safety e-Report services through a smartphone application and Internet portal, allowing the public to easily report risk factors in daily life and track their progress. The report covers various risk factors in public safety, including facilities, transportation, schools, lives, and maritime affairs. The reported contents are linked and processed with the e-people service.

Here is a guideline on the accessibility requirements for using the app:

• Storage space: Access to device photos and media files, used for saving user DB setup information.
• Telephone: Rights for sending and managing calls, enables direct connection to the government complaints call center and push notification settings.
• Camera: Rights for taking photos and shooting videos, used for attaching visual evidence to reports.
• SMS: Rights for sending and viewing messages, used for SMS services such as providing answers, post-survey satisfaction ratings, and event updates.
• Location: Rights for accessing device location, used to provide map service based on current location.
• Microphone: Rights for recording audio, used for voice reports.

The user can choose to permit or refuse each access right in the application setup. However, refusing the required access may limit certain app functions. If you initially refuse access during app installation but later decide to grant it, you can easily adjust the access rights by deleting and reinstalling the app.

The app offers the following features:

• Safety report: Easily report risk factors by attaching photographs/videos, specifying accident location, and providing details. The e-map allows for easy selection of the accident location, with automatic address conversion. The smartphone's GPS function is solely used for ease of selecting the current accident site.
• Up to 3 photographs/videos can be attached, with a maximum file capacity of 100MB.
• Note: Non-members are required to enter personal information to search for report progress in the app.

Additional features of the app:

• Report status: Provides a summary and overview of total report status for Safety e-Report.
• Safety News: Users can search for real-time disaster-related news from Yonhap News Agency.
• Major cases: Enables searching for cases that have been processed or improved by Safety e-Report.
• Membership and automatic login:
  • User can subscribe to services after completing mobile phone authentication and entering personal information.
  • Login status is maintained, even if you exit and run the app again, by selecting automatic login and entering your ID and password on the login screen.
• My report:
  • Members can search for their report results using their ID and password.
  • Non-members can search for their report results using their mobile phone number and report number.
  • Report results can also be retrieved using the report number provided in the text message sent after submitting the report.
  • Mobile phone authentication service can be used to search for report results.
• FAQ: Provides answers to key questions regarding subscription and report processes.
